Paintless Dent Removal requires learning some essential tips.  It is good to use a little nylon tap down but you need to get that rough tip. This is because you put this directly onto the paint of the lacquer surface of a panel. There is the risk of scratching the lacquer if you tap in and suddenly slip with the tap down.

Clean Tap Down

You need to use just a little bit of sandpaper. A twelve hundred will do to remove the tip of the tap down. You need to really make sure that you do it very lightly to take that tip off. Sometimes it is possible that you could get that tip a bit blunt so make sure that  you can just really keep them nice and sharp. It must also be really smooth so when it touches the surface of the panel then you do not  scratch the lacquer. That is a nice, quick, short tip!
