Remove Car Door Trim

Step One : Look at the outer ridges

The first step you need to do is to look at the outer ridges. Your goal for scanning through it
and feeling through its intricacies is to find out of there are screws.

Sometimes, you will come across trims. You also have inner door handles which
have little screws in them. Most door handles also have two screws.

When doing so, make sure to take extra caution so as not to cause any scratches or damages to your car. In case you want to see what it looks like, here’s a close look at the screws you might ind when you take out some outer layers of your car. Usually there are some clips as well around the door of your car, with a bit of gentle force, you can see if it pulls away from your car.

Step Two: See If It Pulls Away From Your Car

It’s worth noting that sometimes, those triangle trims in your car need to be removed as well.
Again, you would have to be careful taking out the door cards. Once you’ve taken it out, you’ll see some cables, wires, and all the inner workings of your car door. Clip the cable, and that will release the door card. The membranes that will be left can be further pulled out as it only sticks because of a black glue-like substance.

Step Three: Carefully Remove the Membrane

By removing the membrane, you will get much closer access to your car door’s outermost part.
You’ll be able to see your side impact bar which you will encounter quite often when it comes to Paintless Dent Removal.

Now, here’s the tricky part. Fourth and last step: Once you’ve taken out the dent, put them all back on in reverse order.

Taking all of these parts out can be quite some work. But putting them back on to the car can be a tad bit more difficult. Mastering this specific skill can take a bit of time but with enough patience, you’ll learn in no time!
