This type of door dent behind me is the most common dent that I fix as a PDR technician. Of course, everyone loves seeing the big smashes and complex repairs, but the majority of my income as a PDR tech comes from fixing these everyday dents. I call it the bread and butter of the PDR industry.
Identifying the Most Common Dent

This dent is really small—let’s see if we can spot it without using the line board. As I move around, you can just catch it in the reflection. It’s about 10mm across and right in the middle of the door panel.
Setting Up for a Quick Repair

This was a really small, simple dent, and the entire repair took about 2 to 3 minutes. This is why mastering foundational PDR skills is so important. Once you can consistently repair everyday dents like this to a high standard, you can start earning money as a PDR technician.
As you develop your skills, you’ll be able to take on larger, more complex repairs. But for me, these small dents are where I earn the majority of my income.
