If you're just getting started learning paintless dent removal I know it is so easy to go straight into trying to fix a dent. However my top tip is ‘do not start with a dent! Yes, you heard it correctly.
Here is My Advice for Beginners!
My advice for beginners is to start with a completely clean section of the panel. A bit of panel that doesn't have any damage to it at all.The reason for this is you can just start getting a feel for locating and finding the tip of your tool and just start to understand the different amount of pressure you can apply to start to create movement in the metal. Whether you are using a line board ,a fog board or any kind of reading device. It is important that you set up on a panel without any damage.
Keep It Smooth and Easy!
Start moving that tool from the underside, around ,forward and backward left and right. And just start to identify how the metal responds as you're applying pressure. It's so much easier on a clean surface. This is to start getting an idea and a feel for it before going straight into learning to identify the tip of the tool when you've already got a dent or a low spot on a panel.
